NAREE President Reveals #NAREE2021 Conference Details
/Dear fellow real estate writers and editors:
There's still time to make plans for attending the National Association of Real Estate Editors conference from Dec. 7-10 in Miami, the yearly boot camp for real estate journalists (without the calisthenics).
The NAREE get together is like a 3 1/2-day news conference, with industry leaders, economists, news makers, market trackers and journalists speaking about the latest trends and developments in the real estate industry.
This year's conference will include one-on-one interviews with Miami Condo King Jorge Perez and Knock CEO Sean Black. Monica Richardson, executive editor of the Miami Herald will be a pre-luncheon speaker. A panel of industry experts will discuss lessons learned from the Champlain Towers South collapse in Surfside.
Our NAREE University sessions will include reporters from the Panama and Pandora Papers speaking about investigative reporting for real estate journalists. Miami-based reporters from the AP, New York Times, USA Today and the Miami Herald will discuss how they broke stories about infighting, money laundering and the design flaws that doomed the 12-story Surfside condo tower. An expert in web design will speak about reaching the missing 25% of our online audience, disabled readers.
