NAREE Announces New Board Members for 2012
/ANAHEIM, Calif. -- The National Association of Real Estate Editors (NAREE) has installed its 2012 officers and members of the NAREE Board of Directors.
Harold Bubil, real estate editor of the Sarasota Herald-Tribune in Sarasota, Fla., has been elected 2012 NAREE president. Bubil, winner of several NAREE journalism competition awards, writes features and a column, and is the primary photographer for the Herald-Tribune’s Saturday and Sunday real estate editorial sections.
Kris Hudson, a commercial real estate reporter for the Wall Street Journal, is NAREE's new Vice President for 2012. Jean Dimeo, editorial director of Building Products magazine, was elected Treasurer. Mary Shanklin, who covers residential and commercial real estate for the Orlando Sentinel, is NAREE's 2012 Secretary.
Daniel Taub, Bloomberg News, and Suzann Silverman, Commercial Property Executive, were elected as NAREE Board of Directors at-large.
Associate member Lil Miller-Fox, president of PrivateCommunities.com, is Second Vice President and Damon Thomas, Damon Thomas Public Relations, was elected Board Associate Director.
The results of the election were announced Nov. 11, 2011, at the NAREE Annual Officer Installation and Awards Dinner in Anaheim, Calif. at McCormick & Schmick's Grille.
Leigh Robinson, Express Publishing is now Chairman of the Board. Retaining their seats on the 2012 Board are Lauren Beale, Los Angeles Times; Holden Lewis, Bankrate.com; Greta Guest, Detroit Free Press; Ken Harney, Washington Post Writers Group; Emily Spicer, San Antonio Express-News and Matt Valley, France Publications.
