NAREE Bruss Book Contest Entry Deadline Is April 15

Pull down the Book Contest Tab above to download an entry form The National Association of Real Estate Editors' 12th Annual Robert Bruss Book Awards program is open to all authors who have written hard cover and paperback books, and e-books on topics in the broad field of real estate. Books about home buying and selling, mixed-used development, finance, mortgage lending, green building, architecture, international real estate and many other real estate-related topics are eligible. Past winners have included journalists, thought-leaders from academia, design world visionaries, real estate economists and real estate educators. Authors of real estate books can enter if their books were published – either in print or digitally – in 2018.
The program features Gold, Silver and Bronze awards, plus a first-time author award. The Gold Award winner will receive a $1,000 award. The silver award winner will receive a $500 award. Both the Bronze and Leigh Robinson First-Time Author honorees will receive $250 awards.
The Bruss Book Awards are sponsored by NAREE past presidents, the late Leigh Robinson, founder of the Express Publishing/author of “Landlording,” and Brad Inman, founder of Inman News. NAREE’s book awards are named for the late Bob Bruss, syndicated real estate columnist, prolific writer and NAREE leader. Bruss frequently wrote reviews of realty books.
The National Association of Real Estate Editors will present the the Bruss Book Awards in Austin, Texas at NAREE’s 53rd Annual Real Estate Journalism Conference at the Hyatt Regency Austin on Friday, June 28 NAREE's Book Awards Luncheon. NAREE's 2019 real estate journalism conference will focus on topics from economic foresting and analysis and real estate markets, designing for wellness, building redevelopment, affordable housing, and luxury in mid-market cities, among others. NAREE's conference -- including NAREE University's peer-to-peer professional development sessions, press conferences, panels and an Austin real estate tour -- begins Wednesday, June 26 at 8 AM and runs through Saturday morning, June 29.
