ACTIVE MEMBER
(full-time, working journalists only)
Active members shall have as their principal occupation the reporting,
transmitting or editing of information about real estate and/or housing for a
news media that is independent of a sponsoring organization or advertising
control. (Principal occupation means more than 50 percent of their time.) $75.00
annual dues.
ASSOCIATE MEMBER
(writers for special interest publications and communications
professionals.)
Professional writers who do not qualify as full-time journalists for independent
print or broadcast media or communications specialists who write or disseminate
information for a limited audience or for real estate-relate business. $195.00
annual dues.
I swear the above is a true and accurate description of my professional
status and that it is my responsibility to notify NAREE's executive director of
any change that could affect my NAREE membership. If the above information is
shown to be false, NAREE can terminate my membership immediately and all prepaid
membership dues are forfeit.
NAREE'S CODE OF ETHICS
NAREE members subscribe to the following ethics policy: "I will strive to
uphold, as a member of NAREE, the highest standards of professional conduct and
to avoid any conflict of interest. Should my conduct be called into question, I
shall cooperate in any possible investigation conducted by the NAREE Board of
Directors, and I will accept any decision it may render on my membership as
final."
(Membership privileges begin when
dues are received.) Applicant name may be purged if payment is not received within 30 days.
NAREE dues are not deductible as a charitable contribution for Federal tax
purposes but may be deductible as a business expense. NAREE is a non-profit
